Volunteer Timeline
1. Volunteer Team Tryouts - October-December 2025
Select applicants will be invited to the Volunteer Team Tryouts at the FIFA World Cup 26™ Volunteer Center Philadelphia. The process is designed to allow applicants to showcase their strengths and enthusiasm for the role, connect with fellow prospective volunteers, and meet the local FIFA and Philadelphia Soccer 2026 teams.
Please note: To accommodate the large number of applicants, tryout scheduling is occurring on a rolling basis. If you've applied to be a volunteer, you may receive an email to schedule any time between now and December.
2. Role Offers - January-February 2026
The volunteer selection process is handled by the FIFA World Cup 26™ Volunteer team. The team carefully reviews each application, online assessment, and the Volunteer Team Tryouts to match volunteers with the roles that best fit their profiles. If you’re selected as a volunteer, you will be assigned to a role based on your application and the overall recruitment process. FIFA takes factors like personality, availability, preferences, skills, and experience into consideration.
3. Training – March-May 2026
Volunteers will complete an orientation process, including general and role-specific training.
4. Accreditation and Uniform Distribution - May-June 2026
Volunteers will receive accreditation (credentials) and uniform from the FIFA World Cup 26™ Volunteer Center Philadelphia.
5. FIFA World Cup 26™ - June-July 2026
The Volunteer Center
Located at Fashion District Philadelphia, the FIFA World Cup 26™ Volunteer Center will serve as the heartbeat of our volunteer program, hosting team tryouts, training, accreditation, and uniform pickup for the 3,000+ volunteers who will help welcome the world to Philly in 2026.

Set in one of the most prominent and accessible areas in downtown Philadelphia, the site will not only act as a recruitment and training location, but also as a welcoming space for volunteers to connect, engage, and learn more about Philadelphia Soccer 2026’s mission and the history of FIFA World Cup™.
